Don't you just love it when a great outfit comes together so easily, makes the overall look so effortless. The only thing that I'd change is for the ruffles on the shirt to continue onto the back. Oh well, can't have it all!!

Like I said in the last post, I went thirfty shopping with my mom starting with a giant yard sale, then to a store called the New and Not Shop, then Goodwill, and Big Lots last.

At the Yard Sale I got the two hats for a dollar each, the brown dress/tunic for 2 dollars (from Gap), and the purple dress (from Target) for 2 dollars.

At the New and Not Shop I got the leopard print dress for 8 dollars. Its a really nice dress, I just have to take it in a little in the bust and waist area. I also found the jean vest. I'd been looking for one of these for a while and was watching one on Ebay that would have been more than the $4 this one was.

We then went to Goodwill where I got 4 of the 5 books for 99 cents each. They are The Cider House Rules, Sleepers, The Road, and The Mummy (by Anne Rice). The Goodwill here is actually really nice, I will be back to search and search when I'm in the mood to.

At Big Lots I got another book called The Printer's Devil. My mom also got me another set of sheets for the bed which are sitting in the dryer now waiting for me to fold them haha.

Also, the same day I got the shoes I ordered off of Ebay. They are SO tall I feel like a giant. Love it!!! Thanks to the wonderful hubby hub hub and momma!!

So, I'm on Spring Break right now, hench the lack of posting because, honestly, i'm not getting dressed! Ive been in pajamas or gym clothes and have been doing a whole lot of nothing and it is glorious. I was also sick all last week and am just now getting back to 100%. I love reading.. well.. I love reading when it is something that I want to read. I hate having to read school books or anything related to school. But otherwise, I love reading.
I don't get to read nearly as much as I would like, and I remember seeing something about someone's new year resolution was to read a book a week for the whole year. I wish I had time and patience like that, but I get so sleepy if I read for more than an hour.

I recently started on the Leven Thumps Series by Obert Skye. They are pretty enjoyable books and as you can tell by the list above that I really enjoy fantasy books aimed at children.
Currently I am reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. It is alright so far, its just a little slow going.

Anyone want to tell me what their favorite books are? I'm always looking for new things to read.

The Babies

I took pictures today while I was trying to rush out the door for class and I didn't look at them until now.. and OOOOOOOH goodness they are awful haha. So because of that, today we will have something different to indulge in.
Without further ado.. MY CHILDREN!!

Meet Nuzzle, the toy poodle, and Batman, the chihuahua!!!

This is my smallest baby. His name is Batman and he just turned 2 in February. He likes to sleep under the covers with his mama, look at people out of the corner or his eye (we call it his crazy eye), and try to eat noses.

This is the meanest, cutest dog ever. Her name is Nuzzle and she just turned 3 in February. She likes to crawl under the bed (as pictured above), attack kitties, and beg for treats from her grandma.

This is what I wake up and come home to everyday and I love them to death. They keep me company while their daddy is gone in Iraq. The majority of their day is spent either wrestling with each other, sleeping, eating, or harrassing the cats.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to take good pictures.. heres the best one from today just to give you an idea of what I wore. The others were sooooooo bad haha.

First Outfit!

This is my first attempt at an outfit post. I was in a rush while taking these and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the best pictures from my point and shoot camera. I think they came out pretty decent (some are a little fuzzy) but expect to see better quality as I get accustomed to all of this. I'm new to the posing thing too, so be nice! haha

I think this one ^^ is my favorite.

I had to dress kind of professional for my marketing class tonight to meet with our clients for the project we will be doing.

Because I am a huge fan of anything bright, colorful, or shiny, I am super stoked for the new Alice in Wonderland (not to mention the ~~delicious~~ fantastic actor Johnny Depp). A look inside

As I promised in my first post, here are the pics of inside my closets. Yea I said closets. Out of the 4 closets that we have in this house, i have taken over 3 of them, with my shoe overflow going into the laundry/dog room. Without further interuption, here are the pictures.. get excited!!

This is the closet that is in the bedroom. I have a rod that hangs down below the rod that was originally in there. Over the door I have my scarves, hats, and bandanas. Up on the top shelf are the jeans that I wear on a regular basis and some shoes. There are also a few pairs of shoes on the ground that you can't see from these pics.

The top rod is divided with dresses on the left side and long sleeves and blazers on the right. The bottom rod has my zip up track style jackets, short sleeve tops, and tank tops.

This is the closet in our office/my getting ready room/library/alteration station. This one is divided into work and professional style clothes on the left and going out/party dresses, tops and skirts on the right. In the middle there are more jeans and pants along with a cool circle hanger where all my belts are. The top shelf has as many boots as I could fit. Underneath the clothes there are two shelving units, one has tshirts divided into different categories and the other has bottoms (capris, shorts, and skirts). And of course, in any spare space there are shoes.

On the back of the door I hang purses and beside the closet is where I have all of my jewelry and my "getting ready station." Special thanks to the hubster for allowing me to paint one wall pink!

This is the closet in the living room that has, you guessed it, more shoes. The hubs has one shoe hanger and I have taken over the rest with my jackets and the other shoe hanger is mine. The top shelf has a container full of more scarves and gloves.

And this, as you can tell, is my shoe over flow. We also keep all the other random odds and ends like board games, and doggie accessories in this area.

Well, I hope to one day do a video post of all of this stuff, but for now I hope you enjoyed my picture tour!! I'm off to get ready for school!

Because it was so gloom all day I wasn't able to take good pics of my closets. SOOO, instead I have decided to make an oath for myself and this blog.

1. I will not buy anything frivolous when it comes to things like makeup, clothes, and shoes. I have PLENTY of all of the above categories and need to start using what I have instead of lusting after all the latest and greatest. This will put my creativity to the test..... and I, for one, am very excited about it.

2. I promise to post something to this blog at least every other day. It is very annoying to me to find a blog that I enjoy reading or looking at and all of a sudden the posts stop. I check a lot of the blogs I read on a daily basis and it almost makes me sad to not see anything new.

3. I will learn new things that pertain to making this blog better. Videos, layout, picture effects, whatever will make viewing this blog more entertaining and pleasing to the eye.

4. I will not turn off my comments because of any number of mean comments. I want to know what everyone thinks, good or bad.

That is good to start out with. I will no doubt add new "commandments" as this blog grows (I'm crossing my fingers that it does).

Hey, I know its a little early for Easter, but Wal-Mart has their candy out already! The Cadbury Mini Eggs are my absolute favorite. I'm almost through my first bag. Shhhhh don't tell the hubster!

Yay for new things!!!

This is the first entry of my first blog!!! I am very excited about this, if you couldn't tell from all the exclaimations!!

I have made a promise to myself to not wear anything twice until I have worn everything in my wardrobe at least once (Does that make sense to anyone?). Who knows how long this will take! There are exceptions to this new rule. Things like shoes, jeans, tights, leggings, etc can be worn multiple times. The main idea is to go through all of my tops, skirts, dress pants, and dresses. I have a bad habit of having those "go to" pieces that I wear ALL the time because I know they work.

I'm also going to try to not buy anything new until the new year, January 1 of 2011. We'll see how far this gets before I give into temptation. The reason for this is to try to save more money for a large lump sum payment on a new car. Namely, this one:

My husband is deployed right now so this is as much for him as it is for me. Kind of a way for him to keep up with my life while he is gone.

I hope you enjoy my new blog. I'll start off by posting pics of my closets tomorrow so you can get an idea for the tremendous task ahead of me!
